I am a 42 year old, single Mum with 2 children; Rhiannon & Hamish. I fell in love with the sound of fleetwoodmac when I first heard the song Gypsie, when I was 18 (all those years ago). My favourite artist of all time is Stevie Nicks - her voice, her passion, her style, her music. I love the harmony of Fleetwoodmac. It was a dream come true to see them live in Sydney in 2004. The concert was awesome!! My daughter was 10 at the time. We waited with thousands after the concert to get a glimpse of the band leaving the entertainment centre. My daughter handed a souvenier bear we had bought at the concert, to a security guard and asked if he could give it to Stevie to sign - the bear came back with Stevie & Mick's signatures and Rhiannon written on the bear's T-Shirt. We are so blessed!! (it was worth having a 'sickie' to get to the concert and getting a lecture from the corporate company manager - I am still with the corporate company and have been for 12 years) The music of Stevie Nicks (yes, I have all her albums) has been inspiriational throughout my life - through the ups and the downs. I can always choose a song to fit my mood. I love all their albums but I chose 'Say you will' as my favourite because it was an album that helped get me through the most traumatic period in my life, so far - my seperation and the moving back home to the small country town I grew up in (with all my baggage). I also had an experience with my daughter that will always be in our memories, by seeing the songs being performed live. The magic on stage between all band members was awesome. I am so looking forward to seeing them live again in December in Brisbane. The ultimate dream for me would be to meet Stevie in person to thank her and Fleetwoodmac for the music.
