I'm torn; I love the first album, but Rumours ~ I can't get enough of that. When "The Dance" was released, I thought I had died and gone to heaven...

I'm 45 years old this June...been a Mac fan for as long as I can remember. I have three older sisters and two older brothers...so Fleetwood Mac came to me as a youngster ~ I started listening to it by the tender age of 9...my older sister, Debbie, had the Rumours album and played it constantly...I found myself dancing to the music without even realizing it. As I got older, the lyrics on many of the songs, spoke to me in ways I never could have imagined; music influencing my life the way it had started to and did ever since. Music, as a whole, became, and still is a huge part of my life. It colors my world... Over the years, my taste in music has evolved and grown to embrace many genre's. I was really into metal in the 80's and got into a lot of alternative stuff in the 90's. I am a big fan of other rock groups, but I always go back to the Mac...give me some "Monday Morning" or "Blue Letter" and I find myself unable to control my body ~ just gotta get up and dance. In fact, when it came to my attention back in January of 2009 that Fleetwood Mac was going to be in Dallas that coming April...I jumped at the chance to buy four tickets the day they went on sale. It has been mine and all three of my sisters dream to see Fleetwood Mac LIVE!!! The three months of anticipation until the concert date was almost un-nerving. We all talked about it CONSTANTLY; then, the day was finally upon us and was over far too quickly - the memory will forever burn in my mind as one of the most wonderful nights of my life. Three of the most important women in my life were by my side and we were jamming our asses off to all the songs of our youth...it was AWESOME AND REMARKABLE and I will never forget it.

Well, it's been a while since I've even been on the website due to some recent family drama; my Mother had a bout of pneumonia and was in the hospital for five days. Unfortunately, because of this, both her and my Father had to miss their grandson's {my nephew} graduation ceremony. In their absence, I went in their place to represent the family {although I had a hard time leaving them at all due to my Mother's current health situation}.
Well, it's the last day of the long weekend and tomorrow starts off another work week...it rained a lot here in Abilene, Texas this weekend; which is great, cuz we haven't had any rain in a really long time and we really needed it...but as far as any "outdoor" activities for the holdiay weekend, that kind of went by the wayside with the weather...that's okay though...just kickin' back and chillin' at home with the folks ~ it could be a lot worse, I guess. My sinus infection is "better" and I don't feel as weak as I did on Saturday morning, which is cool.
It's Saturday; the first day of a three day weekend and I woke up this morning to discover I had the beginning of what seemed to be a pretty bad sinus infection...wasn't going to let it get the best of me this time {I get these stupid infections about 4 times a year and they SUCK}.
Well, it's been nothing but one set back after another here at the office; new network installation; so, I thought I would tool around on the website here and see if there had been any "activity"...I wasn't disappointed...many more blog postings to read and additional pictures to look at and comment on. I love the HOME page where you can actually view videos of live performances of Landslides and other great Fleetwood Mac Songs...Am just totally loving this site...well, if anyone wants to holla back ~ feel free...TAKE CARE EVERYONE!!!
What a day; what a wonderful day...I've made a connection with an individual on this site that is absolutely, COSMIC!!! We have a ton in common and it's ALMOST, like we were seperated at birth ~ besides our love of Fleetwood Mac and particularly, Stevie Nicks...we have lives that seem to be going along the same paths in different states...it's utterly amazing and thrilling and exilerating and has made my life so much more richer and fuller than I could have ever imagined. This person is a true ANGEL; an inspirational entity that has the qualitites of a SAINT...how lucky am I???
Well, due to a program conversion at the office today, I took a vacation day; no computers NO internet; why would I want to be there twiddling my thumbs all day long...nope, not for me - just got up and put in "The Dance" that always gets the old blood to pumping...man, Lyndsey has some awesome guitar solos on this CD!!! Having my coffee and trying to get my motor started - got a few errands to run, but I'll be back here later to see what's gone down...YOU ALL TAKE CARE AND HAVE A GLORIOUS DAY!!!
