took the wife to the MEN last week, have been away from their music for sometime, and was unprepared for the effect its had on me...... probably the best live show I seen, period, I seemed to spend the whole evening wiping a tear from my eyes as all the memories of the late seventies came flooding back, its the music me and the wife spent our courting years listening too, we have since gone and bought all the reissues so we both have all the cd;s in each of our cars, were still together after 30 years, If you get the chance, beg steal or borrow to get a ticket, I promise even if your only a half fan, you'll be amazed too....just wish the missing fifth could have been on stage too
Saw the gig at Sheffield last night, 2/11/09.
Awesome !!!!
Some amazing guitar soloing by Lindsey, Stevies vocals are as good as they have ever been. Not sure how he played for two and half hours without his fingers dropping off !!!
Loved Lindsey's track after Oh Well, (not sure of it's title), made the hairs on the back of my neck stand up as it built to it's climax, he deserved the standing ovation.
Brilliant ! thanks for great night
It's been a long road, and not always well paved, but I know I'm not alone in saying thanks for the music. You guys are my favorite band of all time, and I've been around for a while. And to you, Stevie, your music and your voice helped me get through my mid-life crisis pretty much intact. Thanks, and much love.
I guess I was one of the lucky ones to not miss on a concert on May 16 at the Tacoma Dome. I've waited many years to see them in person and...and SOBER....WOW! I have serious health issuses and time is my worst enemy now. I had them #1 on my to see list and I want to keep that list as long as possible to keep me going. If they were coming tomorrow...I'd be there. I hope they will tour for a while and come to WA again...Please...Please. What can you say about Stevie that hasn't been already said....I"m in love with that voice and listening to it right now(Angel). I wonder if they will put out another alblum and if Christine will ever show up at some time in the future. Bummer she's not around. The only complaint about the show...IT WASN'T LONG ENOUGH. It ran a little over 2 hours and there was a good 10 songs I would have loved to have heard...I'll hope for next time. One other thing..I would love to score some backstage passes if they come back....I would like to meet them all and thank them for all the music and the memories that go along with them....
